Marali liberation forces led by Evers and Mirith Vanguard were formed on a major scale. Marali was liberated from the domination of the Black Hand. The Twins absconded.
Senator Robertson of Andris was killed at Port Gast by Royal Guard of Mirith and those involved.
Senators of Andris and former General of Marali had been evacuated to Mirith. This letter told about a slice of their life in Mirith, Zexe's condition getting better, and Darkstar's serious condition. She had been a patient in a coma, and talked in her delirium. To make matters worse, "Darkstar's hands were covered with huge, black spots." This was a proof that Black Magic had already begun to erode her soul.
Marali was overwhelmed by the Black Hand. Now Alliance occupied all over Marali. The public of Marali had no other choice but deserted their city.
Elefin became one of the most powerful wizards in Oberin since the Blood Dagger had fallen into her hand. Her enormous power also posed a great threat to the Twins while she led the Black Hand. Rasha and Varsha appeared in front of adventurers who were ravaged by a long battle against Alliance. Rasha said that Elefin was currently a common target between the Twins and Mirith, so...
(Rasha): We know you have that box that is supposed to kill our enemy.
(Rasha): And we know how to bring the enemy to Mirith.
(Rasha): Only...
(Rasha): If we help you, you leave Marali alone.
(Rasha): Do you want our help or do you want to die here?
It was Darkstar who acted as a bridge between the Twins and Mirith. She also urged Mirith to call upon Seth for help. His art was needed with the Golden Box to deactivate the Blood Dagger.
Elefin Came to Mirith. Darkstar succeeded to steal the Blood Dagger from her, however, the cursed power of the dagger made Darkster lose her senses for a moment. She stubbed herself. With Seth's help the dagger was set in the Golden Box from Drakstar's chest, and Elefin was no longer given power from the Blood Dagger. She was killed.
Zexe's soul was releaved out of the Blood Dagger, and he returned to the world. The Golden Box was placed under the custody of Brigobean.
The force led by Mirith Vanguard stormed Andris, and rescued Birek.
Meanwhile, however, Mirith being lax on security was attacked by Alliance. There were also The Twins and Elefin seen among the aggressors. Duchess Tirana betrayed Mirith, and killed Beleth's daughter Araine. Serene who had been under Mirith's care was taken away by Elefin. After this, Beleth went missing for long periods.
Back in those days, it was known to everyone that two warriors of Mirith had defected to Lancaster. They found Lancaster's favour. Their Golden Fleece, which was given by the Twins, attracted Lancaster very much.
On this day, the two and Vanderbilt, commander of the Mercenary Army, entrenched themselves in a new small keep near the Andris Bridge. They had an infirm woman in captivity. The keep was isolated, and it meant to be a chance that would not come twice to rescue her, the heir of Elara, Serene.
Vanderbilt was slain by the two warriors, and Serene was taken under the royal's care.
Andris had swerved toward the tyranny of Lancaster. Lancaster took his dictatorial power by ousting other senators. Senator Anderson also had been detained in jail. Massive Mercenary forces were being formed under Lancaster. This truth was told to officials of Mirith by Senator Morgans who had survived Lancaster's attempt on her life. She was taken into protective custody in Mirith.
Lancaster sent his troops to Mirith, and took a wizard captive. Mirith dispatched the force to rescue the captives out. After a long and gory battle, they succeeded to retrieve the wizard and Senator Anderson. Thus began the war.
Nafets writes... "The Death of Zexe, Elefin, Lancaster, B... Everything was somehow linked..."
Father Vei, the negotiator of Mirith, was dispatched to Andris. Mirith offered condition that the trial of Zexe must take place in Mirith, and Andris didn't accept it.
(Date unknown: at this time, Mirith was foretold an assassination of Zexe, and increased the number of Guards.)
Mirith promoted Major Birek McCalla of Marali to the new Royal Guard of Mirith. This news was carried by his own letter.
"It gives me great pleasure to inform everyone that I, formerly the Major of the army of Marali, will become the new temporary Royal Guard of Mirith....."
(Date unknown: At this time Mirith had acquired a Silver Dragon Claw which would help Zexe to be cured. Beleth and Nafets were studying about it together.)
This Lancaster's poster was pinned up on every square in Andris. It publicly expressed suspicion that Mirith was concerned in both murder cases; Senator Winston murder case and Senator Waltham murder case. Also, it announced that Andris began accepting the registration of new recruits.
Father Vei was officially promoted to the rank of Mirith Negotiator.
Adventurers followed Darkstar's advice that an aid by Centaur was needed for Zexe, and headed for Centaurs' Cave. This was when they used Centaur's Minig Axe to find a way in. Adventurers met Centaurs, however, they couldn't receive help for Zexe. They decided to bring Zexe and Anon there. In Marali, however, it was too late and they heard news of Anon's death. While in Mirith, Robertson the herald of Andris came to see the King, and demanded for extradition of Zexe.
Lancaster published a letter from Beleth's daughter Araine. The letter told about Zexe's miry boots, torn insignia on his robe and so on.
